Overview
Shortly after the war, dozens of flour milling companies were established in Kyoto Prefecture to address food shortages, and they worked to alleviate food scarcity among the prefecture's residents. During this period, the Kyoto Prefecture Flour Mills Association was established to coordinate the industry. However, as time passed, food became plentiful, and higher quality and products with superior processing suitability were required, and only companies that could meet these needs survived. In recent years, new varieties of wheat have been cultivated in Kyoto Prefecture, and we will continue to provide the prefecture's residents with safe and secure products that are suited to their intended use, while also striving to promote local production and consumption.
