Notification of application for the Kyoto Food Industry Association's "Kyoto Food Market Development Support Subsidy" program. *Vegetable prices have changed (11.07)

*The unit prices of some vegetables have changed. Please note that the following documents, "Kyoto Food Market Development Support Project Subsidy Application Guide" and "Kyoto Food Market Development Support Project Implementation Guidelines," have been revised and posted. (The revised parts are in red.)


The Kyoto Food Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as the "Food Industry Association") is now accepting applications for subsidies from member businesses of affiliated organizations. The purpose of this project is to support the development of new sales channels by providing food made with agricultural products from Kyoto to inns and hotels in the prefecture and providing tasting opportunities, so that food businesses in Kyoto can continue to operate stably despite the impact of rising prices.

There are conditions for being eligible for the subsidy , so please check the implementation guidelines before applying.


Application acceptance period

Must arrive at 17:00 from Monday, October 27, 2020 to Thursday, November 13, 2020 (strictly observed)


Business details

Among businesses that are members of the Food Industry Association, food processing businesses within Kyoto Prefecture that manufacture and sell processed foods using designated agricultural products produced within Kyoto Prefecture as the main ingredients will be provided with subsidies, within the limits of their budget, to cover the expenses (limited to the cost of the product) incurred when providing sample products to inns, hotels, etc.


Eligible businesses

Among the member businesses of affiliated organizations of the Food Industry Association, businesses that meet any of the following criteria are eligible for subsidies.

1. Manufacture and sale of processed foods that use the following agricultural products produced in Kyoto Prefecture as the main ingredients:

Businesses selling the product (only during the subsidy period)

Main ingredient: Of the raw materials that make up a product, the agricultural product that is used in the largest amount.

② Businesses with headquarters in Kyoto Prefecture

*In addition to those listed in the previous two paragraphs, the Chairman of the Food Industry Association may deem any other person appropriate.


Target agricultural products

*Only products produced within Kyoto Prefecture are eligible.

Sake rice (Kyoto's Shine, Celebration), rice (excluding sake rice), green onions, cucumbers, bamboo shoots, turnips,

Rape blossoms, komatsuna, small turnips, round daikon radish, broccoli, long daikon radish


Eligible expenses

- To hotels and inns that sell processed foods that use designated agricultural products produced in Kyoto Prefecture as the main ingredient.

Expenses related to providing samples (limited to product prices)

・Other expenses that the Food Industry Association deems eligible for subsidies


Target period

Processed foods sold between the grant decision date and January 30, 2026


business meeting

Around February 2026, when sales end, we plan to hold a business meeting for subsidized businesses, inviting inns, hotels, and other businesses.
